What this is

A synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide. BPC stands for Body Protection Compound — based on a partial sequence of a protein found in gastric juice.

That origin story is genuinely the interesting part. BPC-157 is not a naturally occurring molecule you can isolate; it is a synthetic sequence derived from a stretch of a larger protein identified in gastric juice. Researchers took the fragment, not the whole protein, which is a pattern you will see repeatedly in this catalog — isolate the region of interest, drop the rest.

Fifteen amino acids makes it a short peptide by any measure, and short peptides are comparatively straightforward to synthesise and to verify. That is part of why BPC-157 has accumulated such a large research literature: it is accessible, it is cheap to make well, and it is easy to characterise. It is also why purity verification actually means something here — a 15-mer either resolves as one clean HPLC peak or it does not.

This is the 5mg vial. The 10mg vial is the same compound at higher mass, and it has a published certificate for its current lot.

Research profile

One of the most-cited peptides in tissue-repair research. Studied in preclinical and in-vitro models of angiogenesis and connective-tissue signaling. Not an approved drug. Research use only.

Two words in that sentence do a lot of work and are worth unpacking.

Preclinical means the published work sits in cell culture and animal models. It has not moved into the regulatory pathway that would make it a medicine, and we are not going to imply that it has.

Model means the compound is being used as a tool to study a pathway, not as a candidate therapy. Most BPC-157 literature is investigating how angiogenic and connective-tissue signaling behave — the peptide is the probe, not the product.

Research suggests BPC-157 remains one of the more heavily-worked compounds in that space, which is a statement about publication volume, not about efficacy. High citation count means there is a lot to read; it does not mean the questions are settled. Anyone telling you otherwise about this compound is ahead of the evidence.

Handling and storage

Not yet — for the current 5mg lot it is available on request. The 10mg vial's current lot does have a published certificate. Anything published lives on the lab tests page.

What does "99.8 Area%" actually mean?

It is the proportion of the total chromatogram area under the main peak in an HPLC-UV/VIS run. Practically: 99.8% of what the detector saw was the target compound. Our internal threshold treats anything at or above 98.0 Area% as a pass.

What is the difference between the 5mg and 10mg vials?

Mass, and — right now — certificate status. Same compound, same testing regime, same storage.

Why does BPC-157 appear in so many of your blends?

Because it is co-studied with TB-500 more often than with anything else in the tissue-repair literature, and because it is one of the most-requested compounds in the catalog. That combination shows up in three of our blend SKUs.
