Documentation
How to Read a Certificate of Analysis
Every batch has its own certificate of analysis — a COA — issued by an independent lab.
It records what was tested and what the lab found.
The same data prints on your vial label and resolves through batch verification.
- Lot / Batch
- The unique identifier for one production run. Match it to the number on your vial.
- HPLC purity
- The measured percentage of the target compound in the sample (see below).
- Method
- The analytical technique used — typically HPLC-UV/VIS for purity and assay.
- Test date / Lab
- When it was tested and which accredited laboratory performed it.

What “HPLC Purity” Means
HPLC separates a sample into its components so each one can be measured.
The purity figure = how much of the chromatogram is the compound you actually ordered.
We publish the real number per lot — not a blanket “99%+” badge. Higher number, fewer related impurities in that batch.

Reconstitution & Concentration
Lyophilized — freeze-dried — compounds are dissolved in bacteriostatic water for lab work.
Concentration (mg/mL) is simple math: peptide mass ÷ water volume added.

Storage & Handling
- Lyophilized
- Stored at −20°C, freeze-dried compounds are stable long-term; keep sealed and dry.
- Reconstituted
- Once in solution, refrigerate and use within the working window; avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
- Shipping
- Lyophilized material is stable for standard shipping; refrigerate or store at −20°C once it arrives.

- COA
- Certificate of Analysis — the independent-lab test record for a batch.
- Lot / Batch
- One production run, identified by a unique number.
- Lyophilized
- Freeze-dried to a stable powder.
- Bacteriostatic water
- Sterile water with a preservative, used to reconstitute lyophilized material in the lab.
- mg/mL
- Concentration — milligrams of compound per millilitre of solution.
- HPLC
- High-Performance Liquid Chromatography — the analytical method behind the purity figure.
- RUO
- Research Use Only — not for human or animal consumption.
